Marek Drywa joined Calgary Economic Development in 2010 as Manager of Inter-American Development Bank Programs and in April 2011 was appointed as the Global Business Centre Manager. Marek brings over ten years of international experience in working with high profile organizations and clients in business development, marketing and government relations roles for private, public and non-profit sectors.
Marek has lived, studied and worked in Poland, Germany and the USA before re-locating to Canada in 2005. As the Global Business Centre Manager, Marek is focused on developing programming and acquiring new clients for the Centre; he is also responsible for the overall operations of the facility.
Marek holds a Master’s degree of Public Administration from Grand Valley State University in Michigan, USA and a second Master’s degree in Economics (Marketing and International Trade) from the University of Gdansk, Poland. In addition to being fluent in English, Marek has a working knowledge of Polish and German, and basic level of Russian.
